Congratulations are certainly in order for St. Albert Alberta’s Kassie Thomas who became the 2015 IHRA Summit Racing World Champion for Junior Dragster racing…
The third generation racing daughter to Jayson Thomas and granddaughter to Don Thomas prevailed during the IHRA’s season ending World Finals event at Memphis.
Kassie won the weather delayed Summit Racing Equipment Tournament of Champions (TOC) feature. That is an invitation only program featuring the best racers from all of the IHRA geographical regions. It is used to determine the overall World Championship in each of the IHRA’s 10 Sportsman racing categories.
Kassie, representing Edmonton’s Castrol Raceway, ran a winning 8.004 secs (7.98 dial in) in the championship round driving her TriStar sponsored dragster.
