Kopp Motorsports to race in “Armdrop Live” Event
On the heels of producing some outstanding numbers in its last two events, including a 6.06 elapsed time, number one qualifying effort, during round three of the Quick 32 Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts, and securing the number one qualifying position at the recently completed IHRA MOPAR Nitro Jam Nationals at Grand Bend Motorplex, the Kopp Motorsports, We Install It racing team heads to Cayuga Dragway at Toronto Motorsports Park this weekend to take part in a unique and exciting event for both fans and racers.
The ArmDrop Live event is an opportunity for dial-in racers to compete in a heads up format in front of thousands of spectators. Presented by Rich Christensen, who hosts the hit TV series PINKS on the SPEED network, this event gives fans of the show an opportunity to meet and greet with Christensen himself and see some great heads up drag racing.
The Kopp Motorsports team will once again be one of the quickest and fastest cars in attendance at the event, just as they were last year. “We put on a great show for the fans last year when we match raced our dragster against Michael Hinbest.” said an excited Rick Kopp. “This year we are hosting guests on behalf of our sponsors which will make the event that much more fun for all of us.”
The action gets underway on Saturday morning with time trials, following which Christensen will get “on the box” to perform his now famous arm drop starting procedure.
