Thanks to unwavering support of industry leading Lucas Oil Canada — Canadian fans will experience seven major NHRA racing event experiences in 2018…
The fact remains that NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series participant racers remain the most prominent in numbers overall in our country, and that reality will again be evident during this coming racing season.
The Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, which is represented by a wide variety of official class categories that ranges from the highest echelon Top Alcohol Dragsters and Funny Cars down to S/ST 10.90 index racing, will be featured literally coast-to-coast at events spread out from British Columbia to New Brunswick and in-between.
The calendar highlight event will be once again the Lordco BC Nationals held at Mission Raceway Park in BC (June 15-17th) which is one of the seven Lucas Oil West Regional events scheduled for this season. That marquee annual attraction will feature the majority of official NHRA Lucas Oil eliminators and will play out again on what has already been proven to be one of the quickest racing surfaces in North America.
In addition Mission Raceway will also host an official NHRA National Open event (July 20-22) which is part of that track’s annual major Funny Car event (which is also an official NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series for those cars).
A total of 5 other NHRA National Open races showcasing a variety of Lucas Oil Drag Racing series racers will be presented this summer and they are scheduled for:
- Naperville PQ – July 13-15th
- Edmonton AB – July 13-15th (Feature portion of 2018 Mopar Rocky Mountain Nationals)
- Miramachi NB – July 20-22nd
- Medicine Hat AB – July 28-29
- Cayuga ON – August 24-26th (Includes the 3rd annual John Scotti / CDHOF Stock/Super Stock Shootout)
Each of the NHRA National Open events also include a dedicated regional base of Summit Racing ET Bracket racers.
DragRaceCanada will post features and results from all of these events within the Lucas Oil Hotzone subsection this season.
