Plan to Conclude Concord Sportsman

Following their rainout at zMax Dragway last Sunday – the NHRA has announced it’s plans to conclude the Lucas Oil Sportsman Racing event portion schedule for the Pep Boys Carolina Nationals…

For Top Alcohol:

NHRA officials announced that the postponed elimination rounds for Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car from the Pep Boys NHRA Carolina Nationals will be contested at the NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway, Oct. 2-5.

NHRA considered a number of different options as well input from the racers and felt this was the best solution to a tough situation.  Round 1 of eliminations for both classes was completed in Charlotte with the remaining rounds being held in conjunction with qualifying rounds for the event at Maple Grove.

For Sportsman Classes:

NHRA officials have announced the completion of eliminations from the Carolina Nationals in Charlotte for the following categories – Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp, and Super Gas, and will be completed at the LODRS Divisional event at Auto-Plus Raceway at Gainesville  October 10-12.
