Canadian racer participation during NHRA’s season-ending AAA Auto Club Finals was once again quite significant.  Here is a photo extra highlighting just some of the action from the seasonal SoCal closer….

Edmonton's Todd Lesenko tried his hand at Pomona with this all new Plueger chassis Chevy-bodied car. But new car blues kept him from qualifiying.

"Able Abe" Loewen -- from Regina - was the top finishing Canadian racer at the World Finals placing R/UP in Super Stock

Car owner Geoff Goodwin (right) and his new driver Jordan Pawlick entered their 2nd national event together and showed a lot of promise for the future.

Highly regarded Canadian TAFC racer Roger Bateman did some very cool and long burnouts in the potent Y-Not Racing Mustang.

Charlene Gullett (from Calgary) had her best run yet in NHRA national event competition going to the 4th round in Super Stock with her high-flying '85 Cutlass

Edmonton's Ken Reich entered his B/SMA Cavalier at Pomona with Oregon's Adam Bowdish at the wheel.

Crew Chief extraordinare Rob Flynn (hometown Edmonton) had another strong showing with driver Bob Vandergriff in Top Fuel - qualifying #10

Pro Bike racer Kevin Brennan (from Chilliwack BC) was the only Canadian to qualify for the Summit Racing ET Finals

Don Thomas (from Spruce Grove AB) had yet another strong run in Super Stock -- going to the 3rd round.

Todd Paton entered his first NHRA Full Throttle event of the season at Pomona -- and ran a career best 3.949 secs at 290.04 mph during the Friday session.

Prolific Canadian Super Gas racer Jason Kenny came very close again -- he went to the class's "final four" before losing to eventual winner Peter Biondo.
