More photo highlights from last weekend’s Rocky Mountain Nationals from RAD Torque Raceway….

Alberta’s Cal Tebb was a very busy racer at the Rocky Mountain Nationals event. The popular driver did “double duty” behind the wheel of his own spectacular ’33 Willys Pro Mod car as well as driving the Sitko Racing Ford Mustang Nostalgia Funny Car.

RAD Raceway’s (“born and bred”) Manager and Street Outlaws competitor Chevy Reeves brought his 1970 Chevelle (dubbed The Yeti” home for it’s first competition on Alberta soil.  Needless to say the car became an instant crowd favourite.

Alberta’s Ed Verenka had his ever developing injected nitro car out on Friday and Saturday night.  Producing some massive header flames – it was certainly much to the crowd’s delight!

Bree King and family — sold their pro street S10 over the offseason and for 2025 have moved to X275 class in a Mustang previously campaigned by Chris Gould. In only their second weekend out in the car Bree managed an impressive 4.57 sec in X275 competition.

As has become tradition in the Edmonton area — the stacked lineup for the Rocky Mountain Nationals event drew in another great turnout for fan support for RAD Torque Raceway.

Former RAD Raceway staffer and chassis fabricator Mike Heil — had his wagon entered in the event’s “Cops vs Outlaws” competition. His Malibu’s long smoky burnouts and wheels up launches made for impressive photography.

Racing at Edmonton was graced by some great support too from USA-based racers. Making the haul in from Oregon was David Mendez’s  (steel roof & quarter) Dodge Challenger as well as Shawn Ellington’s “Murder Nova” Street Outlaw car from Oklahoma.  Both cars were entered in the “No Time” Outlaw Pro Mod program.

David Brant had his very popular (and Ancestral-rich) “Warchief” nitro burner (from Onoway AB) at Edmonton – entered for the 8-car NHRA Hot Rod Heritage class feature.

Trevor Kinsey’s Chevelle laid down some of the biggest — smokiest burnouts of the event – in X275 competition!

Tyler and Brian Stamler gave their X275 S10 a weekend off, and instead brought out their ridiculously cool — full sized twin turbo Silverado! — to compete within the event’s “Cops vs Outlaws” feature.
