Konigshofer Brothers Mustang

Late word has come to DragRaceCanada surrounding a now confirmed special match race between two of Canada’s most prolific Pro Stock drivers;  John Konigshofer and Larry O’Brien.

Both racers, who cut their teeth racing at Cayuga will bring their ADRL legal Mountain-motored machines to the facility and plan to pair off for Canadian Pro Stock supremecy on both Friday and Saturday.

John drives the Konigshofer Brothers Speed North Ford Mustang and Larry and Wayne campaign the mechanical marvel Bear’s Performance Dodge Avenger — the quickest Pro Stock Dodge on our planet.

“Both our teams were planning to do some testing in advance of the ADRL race coming up at Martin Michigan,” said Frank Konigshofer.  “We thought it would also be a great chance for us to support the race track of our roots during this weekend’s big event.  We are planning 4-5 side-by-side runs on Friday night and Saturday.”

At this point it is unclear if either team will venture past the 1/8th mile marker during the test sessions but it is also important to note that both drivers have activity  on the 1/4 mile during select MMPSA events — so both are likely.

The event will also help mark the return of the Konigshofer Brothers who have been out racing only once this season after parking their operation earlier in 2010 due to business demands in Ontario.
