PERFECT PETROLEUM PARTNERS WITH VP RACING FUELS – Distributor Looks to Expand Offerings with VP’s Retail Branding Program

VP Racing Fuels announced Perfect Petroleum has signed on with VP’s retail branding program.  Based in Orlando, Florida, Perfect Petroleum services more than 250 retail locations and is positioned to greatly enhance VP’s expansion efforts in Florida and the Southeastern U.S.

“We looked carefully at VP’s program and found much to like,” said Bryan Chamberlain, Director of Business Development for Perfect Petroleum. “VP has an attractive image and has targeted millenials, which are the future of this business.  We believe that the image complements our current offerings and the company’s expansion footprint aligns nicely with our key marketing areas.”  Another important factor according to Chamberlain are the new revenue streams available from VP-branded products such as VP Small Engine Fuels, Madditive® performance chemicals, 5-gallon plastic Sportsman’s Containers® and VP apparel.

“Perfect Petroleum is an important addition to our roster of partners and we’re very pleased to have them on our team,” said Alan Cerwick, President of VP Racing Fuels.  “The folks at Perfect were quick to grasp the benefits of VP’s branding program, not the least of which is VP’s appeal to a younger demographic through our reputation for racing and performance along with our edgy marketing programs.  We look forward to working with Perfect Petroleum to expand our program throughout Florida and the Southeast.”

VP RACING FUELS GAINS NATIONAL ATTENTION AS A “CHAIN TO WATCH” – Convenience Store Decisions Features VP Branding Program on Cover of August Issue

The momentum of VP Racing Fuels’ retail branding program continues unabated with the latest boost provided by Convenience Store Decisions magazine, which named VP a “Chain to Watch” in its just released August issue, viewable online at

The publication, which reaches more than 41,000 c-store retailers and wholesalers across the U.S., annually features retail chains that show solid growth potential through differentiation and innovation.

In an article titled “VP Racing Fuels Speeds Forward,” the editor focuses on the strategy by which VP Racing Fuels offers smaller chains a way to compete with major regional players. Key features of VP’s branded program are described as “a recognizable brand with a strong following among racing fans, a branded racing fuel product line and a way to save on costs.”

The article explains how VP’s program helps retailers maximize fuel margins, provides interchange relief with low credit card swipe fees and offers new revenue streams from an array of VP-branded products ranging from performance chemicals to apparel. Also called out is the simplicity and flexibility of VP’s imaging program, in addition to the financing assistance available through VP’s preferred lender, Allied Brand Capital (formerly Allied Brand Services).

“It’s gratifying to achieve this recognition from one of the most prominent publications serving the c-store industry,” said Alan Cerwick.  “It’s a testament to the strength of our brand, the uniqueness and credibility of our retail branding concept, and the ability of our program to deliver the highest competitive advantage for retailers confronting a changing industry.”

VP RACING FUELS FINDS BRANDING PARTNER CLOSE TO HOME – Wuest’s Inc. to Convert Pic-n-Pac Stores in Greater San Antonio Area

VP Racing Fuels, based in San Antonio, Texas, introduced Wuest’s, Inc. as the newest and nearest distributor to join VP’s retail branding program.  Headquartered in McQueeney, Texas, Wuest’s, Inc. owns and operates 15 Pic-n-Pac stores and services two other retail locations in the greater San Antonio area.  Four of Wuest’s stores have been targeted initially for rebranding with VP Racing Fuels, including two in Seguin, one in McQueeny and one in Lockhart, Texas.

Although familiar with VP’s race fuel business, Phil Wuest, Director of Operations for Wuest’s Inc., was pleasantly surprised to learn about what he describes as VP’s “branded unbranded” program.  “VP has the look of a major brand with its attractive, professional image, but offers the chance to buy unbranded supply to compete more effectively with grocery chains, super chains and major brands,” said Wuest.  “Another driving factor for us was the substantial savings we expect from VP’s low credit card processing fees and elimination of monthly network fees, plus we’ll generate new revenue streams from VP’s race fuels, additives and apparel.  All these products appeal to race fans and gearheads who are drawn to VP because of its reputation in racing.”

“VP’s program gives us more control over our business and our facilities, without anyone dictating or assessing penalties for noncompliance.  It was also important to us to have an appealing brand to offer as a jobber to other retailers,” Wuest added.

“We’re extremely pleased to welcome Wuest’s, Inc. as a retail branding partner, particularly given they’re here in our own backyard,” said Alan Cerwick, President of VP Racing Fuels.  “The team at Wuest’s is savvy and innovative, and they recognized the advantages that VP’s program could bring to their business.  Wuest’s Pic-n-Pac stores are truly quality sites and we look forward to working together with them as they plant the VP flag right here in south Texas.”

About Wuest’s, Inc.:

Pic-n-Pac Convenience Stores is a privately held, family owned and operated business.  Founded in 1964, Pic-n-Pac is the legacy of Harvey Edward Wuest who owned and operated nine grocery stores —  Wuest Supermarkets — in and around the Seguin, Texas area until his death in 1962.  Since the first convenience store was opened in 1964 the company has grown to 15 locations under the ownership of Wuest’s children and grandchildren who live and work by the same core values of integrity, respect, and excellence that Harvey implemented so many years ago.  More information is available at
