Wiseco Performance Products – E-Town Canadian Photo Extra
Canadian racer participation during last week’s NHRA Toyota Summernationals at Englishtown New Jersey was both extensive and dynamic. We are pleased to acknowledge just some of that action with the following event Canadian Photo Extra….
Whitby Ontario’s Eric Latino had his best finish yet in NHRA Pro Mod competition — going to the “final four” in the class
Jason Kenny (Kingston ON) had another strong event in Super Gas racing — winning 3 rounds in his reliable topless Corvette
Edmonton’s Jim Bell had his best NHRA event so far – including a career best 5.920 secs and his first career round win (over Steve Whiteley – shown above) in Pro Mod
That’s Canadian tuner/crew chief Rob Flynn about to send his DSR team driver Jack Beckman on his way. Rob tuned Jack to a superb semi final placing in fuel FC.
Robert Park entered his high-flying ’82 Camaro (from Dundas ON) in Super Stock. He qualified the GT/GA machine at .850 sub index.
Top running Luc Angers (from Laval PQ) raced his Dan Page dragster in the event’s Top Dragster program.
John Armstong (from Nova Scotia) had his Corvette in roar mode again. He was the low Canadian qualifier in Super Stock (#14) and placed runner-up in the Auto Combo Class runoffs.
Versatile racer Al Kenny entered in Top Dragster at Englishtown. He qualified #7 at 6.489 secs but fell in round #2.
Highly popular Canadian driver Jeff Arend was rewarded with a strong 4.071 qualifying run to place #11 in Fuel FC driving for Jim Dunn Racing.
Ottawa-area racer Sean Gaffney continued to show improvement with his truly remarkable SS/H ’67 Nova.
Franco Cantusci entered this great looking GT/IA ’00 Firebird in Super Stock and qualified #56 of 81 cars entered.
Manitoba’s Kenny Lang had his Summit Racing Camaro in for some chassis mods just prior to Englishtown. That resulted in some definite improvement – his best run was a 5.900 secs.
