Don Wilk from Medicine Hat Alberta was a surprise name on the entry list at ADRL Norwalk. Don qualified his “all throttle” ’68 Camaro #12 in the record fast Q16 Top Sportsman field.

Brothers Wayne and Larry O’Brien had their XPS Dodge thundering at Norwalk. They hit a career quick 4.067 to qualify 7th for that program. Tire shake took them out in round one however.

Terry Schweigert (from Abbotsford BC) had a tremendous showing in Pro Extreme MC. He ran his nitrous-injected Suzuki to R/UP in the class.

Toronto’s Tony Pontieri and his racing partner Amo Paone were rewarded with a career best 4.137 in XPS qualifying. Unfortunately that fell well short of the wicked quick 4.091 secs bump.

Ontario’s K&K Racing team came to play in the ADRL’s sandbox at Norwalk. Unfortunately their best run of 4.283 secs missed the record quick 16-car cut.
