Following a frustrating pandemic related deferral period – it was back to business for the prestigious Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Fame….

On November 19th, the Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Fame was thrilled to celebrate another year of outstanding achievements from the drag racing community.

The 6th Edition of the Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Fame Gala was held, for the first time, in the showroom of the luxurious Lamborghini Montreal Dealership.

Inductees from previous years, and their families, were invited to this evening of celebration, where they enjoyed the annual induction ceremony, dinner, live entertainment, and the many beautiful cars on display. 17 new inductees were welcomed into the 2022 Hall of Fame; they were presented with the traditional custom-tailored blue CDRHF blazer and personalised ring.

The Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Fame is a registered non-profit organization that pays tribute to the legends of the world’s fastest motorsport. It recognizes the extraordinary achievements and contributions of Canadians who dedicate their lives to the sport of drag racing. To date, over 125 individuals have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. This includes racers, crew chiefs, chassis and engine builders, mechanics, track officials, track photographers, announcers, promoters, and sponsors.

The CDRHF goes above and beyond by collecting and preserving drag racing memorabilia, artifacts, and equipment, to be displayed at a museum that is soon to be launched in Montreal, Canada. It is the first and only organization devoted to the Canadian drag racing participants.

The CDRHF highlights the significance of acknowledging the many victories, records and contributions of the talented men and women involved in drag racing. The annual inductee Gala commemorates those who have paved the way for generations to come. Each year, the Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Fame is proud to honour those who have made a difference in a sport that is dear to the hearts of many, in hopes of inspiring others across the globe to follow their drag racing dreams.
