Rick Chatterson Passes

Everyone at DragRaceCanada is saddened by the unfortunate news of the passing of Rick Chatterson early in the New Year (January 4th)…..

Rick lost a very sudden battle after being diagnosed with cancer late last season.  He leaves behind a very big void within Canada’s close knit drag racing community.

Rick, the founder and owner of Chatterson Machine & Tool Company Ltd. (Brantford, ON) was well known for his originality and innovation within motorsports.  While his involvement in drag racing goes deep in both content and history – he may have been best known for his outside the box thinking.  He was a big fan of the Ford “Blue Oval” and he along with his sons Jeff and Darrell worked some absolute magic while taking small block supercharged Ford powered dragsters into very uncharted territory from a performance perspective.

Rick Chatterson left us far too soon at the age of 68 leaving behind his wife of 47 years Nancy, as well as an extensive and extended family.

DragRaceCanada on behalf of all drag racing fans in Canada offers it’s sincere condolences to the Chatterson family as well as to all of Rick’s friends and associates.
