Australia’s premier drag racing circuit reveals 2027 Nationals schedule…
In the leadup to the rescheduled SPRY Spring Nationals Grand Final (Nov 20-22), the National Drag Racing Championship (NDRC) has released its 2027 calendar, delivering a packed national program as the series enters its fourth season.
Launched in 2023, the NDRC set out to create one unified championship for Australian drag racing under the banner “One Way. Forward.” Season Four continues to deliver racers a clear pathway to championship success competing in front of thousands of fans across Australia.
BLAHST Top Fuel, XPRO Nitro Funny Car, the Aeroflow Sportsman Championship, Top Doorslammer, Pro Alcohol, Pro Mod, Pro Stock, Pro Stock Bike, and Top Fuel Motorcycle will all feature across eight rounds at premier tracks across the country.
“There’s no doubt about it, Season Four is set to be massive,” said NDRC Co-Founder, Andy Lopez.
“We’re going back to Perth for the first time since the Motorplex got its upgrade, and we’re bringing a huge program to the newly reopened Victoria Motorsports Park with what is set to be the epic new Bushranger Nationals headlined by BLAHST Top Fuel and XPRO Nitro Funny Car.
“The Nitro Champs and the East Coast Nationals are set to be as big as ever at Sydney Dragway; and Willowbank Raceway will bring both the Winternationals and the new Sunshine Nationals. We close out the season with Spring Nationals at the Bend, the NDRC Grand Final for nitro, Group 1, and sportsman racers.”
Season Four starts at the Perth Motorplex on 15-16 January with Top Doorslammer at the venue’s Summer Slam, before the championship kicks into full gear at the Westernationals on February 27-28 with BLAHST Top Fuel, Top Doorslammer, Top Fuel Motorcycle, and Aeroflow Sportsman on the upgraded ‘Plex track.
The championship then heads to Victoria Motorsports Park for the brand-new Bushranger Nationals on 10-11 April, starring BLAHST Top Fuel, XPRO Nitro Funny Car, Aeroflow Sportsman, Top Doorslammer, Pro Alcohol, Pro Mod, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Bike at Victoria’s new home of Championship drag racing.
The Nitro Champs at Sydney Dragway (30 April – 2 May) and the Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway (10-13 June) are mid-season battle royales, with both massive events starring BLAHST Top Fuel, XPRO Nitro Funny Car, and the full complement of Group One and Aeroflow Sportsman classes.
The East Coast Nationals returns to Sydney Dragway on 14-15 August with BLAHST Top Fuel, XPRO Nitro Funny Car, Aeroflow Sportsman, Top Doorslammer, Pro Alcohol, Pro Mod and Pro Stock Bike. In the penultimate championship round, both nitro categories light up the QLD night skies at the new Sunshine Nationals at Willowbank Raceway on 8-9 October with Aeroflow Sportsman, Pro Alcohol and Pro Stock in their final battle for championship points before the decider.
The 2027 season concludes at the Spring Nationals at The Bend on 5-7 November, the NDRC Grand Final for all categories across both the pro and sportsman ranks.
