Calgary’s Dark Side Racing continued their local mastery of Public Relations with some ongoing support of an important cause last weekend…
Dark Side Racing which is jointly owned by Dave and Kelly Fedorowich and son Nikolas was on location at McMahon Stadium for the Sept 18 Calgary Stampeders Tail Gate Party to promote PROSTAID Calgary and Prostate Cancer Awareness Month – where they fired up the car during a static display.
Dark Side Racing was thrilled to introduce the sights and sounds of Western Canada’s only Top Fuel Dragster to another incredibly important demographic in our awareness campaign: Stampeders football fans. Stamps fans are known far and wide to be the loudest and most passionate fans in the entire CFL and we sure felt the love when we fired up our 8,000HP Power Plant – TWICE! (and the Stamps prevailed over the BC Lions – GO STAMPS!)
Calgary entrepreneur and long time PROSTAID Calgary supporter, Brett Wilson, joined Dark Side Racing at McMahon Stadium for our Fire Up For Prostate Cancer Awareness event. Brett climbed into the cockpit for Fire Up #2.
“We want to thank Gord Norrie and the entire Calgary Stampeders organization for welcoming us into your football community,” said Kelly Fedorowich. “We also want to thank Gerry Forbes and CJAY 92 for helping to share our Fire Up For Prostate Cancer Awareness campaign with it’s listeners.”
“Our Fire Up for Prostate Cancer Awareness Tail Gate Party got some great coverage on the QR77 Live Broadcast too,” she added. “Thank you to QR77!”
The race team’s next scheduled “Fire Up Event” is September 26. That will be the Calgary Harley-Davidson’s Fire Up For Prostate Cancer Awareness BBQ, Band and Demo Rides. Calgary Harley-Davidson owner Gary Sartorio will take the seat of honour (in the cockpit) and Stamps running back, Jon Cornish and Deputy Mayor Ward Sutherland are also scheduled to join the activities.
