Cayuga Dragway at Toronto Motorsports Park will host Canada’s biggest independent drag racing event this coming weekend as the 5th annual Canadian Nitro Nationals goes down….

The Nitro Nationals return to Toronto Motorsports Park on July 11-13, 2014 and it is bigger and better than ever before. Featuring Nitro Funny Cars, Top Fuel Dragsters, Nitro Nostalgia Funny Cars, 200 mph Nitro burning Harleys, Jet Dragsters and the World’s fastest triple engine jet truck — “SHOCKWAVE” (with 36,000 horsepower!)

The triple-engined “Shockwave” Jet truck returns.

Fans will enjoy a 4 car Nitro Funny match race between former IHRA World Champion Dale Creasy of Illinois and Iowa’s Jack Wyatt. And hailing from San Clements, California, Jeff Diehl versus 2008 IHRA Nitro Funny Car Champion, Terry Haddock.

NHRA Top Fuel Dragsters are the fastest accelerating vehicles on earth. They’re quicker than a jet fighter plane and quicker than a space shuttle. Canada will be well represented in this professional class as Ike Maier will take controls of the Paton Racing dragster against Scott Palmer in a Top Fuel Dragster shootout.

The best 5-second Outlaw Pro/Mods will fill the lanes, including three-time PMRA champion Bruce Boland, the Grainy Brothers team from New York, Jeff Roth, Jason Kalso and many, many more.

As well as, a long line up of highly popular race series including; NDRA Alcohol Funny Cars and Door Slammers, fastest Outlaw 10.5 in North America, and the DSE Quick 16 Sporsman Series.
