“Shakedown” Photo Extra
Norwalk’s Ohio’s rather infamous “Shakedown at the Summit” event went off (with a few hitches) last weekend at marquee Summit Raceway Park. DragRaceCanada’s Brennan Shortall was there and filed this photo extra which includes significant Canadian racer participation…
Once again Mother Nature came to play during the weekend bringing rain and temperatures around 6 degrees with cold winds and at one point – hail! The sun reappeared on Sunday to warm things up slightly. (EDITORS NOTE – A special thanks goes out to Kurt Johnson and team who did not rest at all this weekend! The air temps were cold, but the track was on point with many teams running their best runs of the season).
Edmonton’s Jim Bell collects the fame and the cheque as he wins the Pro Mod class at the 12th Annual Shakedown at the Summit. When asked if Jim would pose with the trophy for a photo, he was adamant that his team be in it as well – as they all won it. Classy. Congrats!
