The 2026 NHRA JSCCS wraps up it’s season racing calendar…..
After losing its originally planned race dates to the elements last June — NHRA’s John Scotti Canadian Championship Series racers returned to Luskville Dragway last weekend for some make up date racing.
The weekend’s action also concluded the 14-event JSCCS schedule for 2026 season racing.
The all 1/8th mile affair was highlighted by two first time winners within the series’ Stock/Super Stock Combo category with Ryan Boniferro from Niagara Falls and Jeff Ruttan taking titles on Saturday and Sunday respectively – and with that collected coveted “Diamond Anniversary” NHRA season Wallys.
Driving his awesome Mopar — Ryan Boniferro earned his first JSCCS event win.
Boniferro, who is a second generation racer (father Joe Boniferro) collected with his meticulous ’67 Barracuda defeating Chuck Nagy’s Chevy Cavalier in his final round. The next day Jeff Ruttan (photo below) wheeled his 2000 model Camaro (from Hanover ON) past Sandro Delplavignano ’68 Camaro for the event title. Ruttan was driving his Engineered Racing Services/J&S Performance-presented GT Camaro. 
TD/TS Combo racing was also part of the program and those wins went to Roch Beaudoin (from North Bay ON) winning over Russ Adams on Saturday and then Pam Rennie (Kanata ON) stopping Fred Angers on Sunday.
Angers (from Laval PQ) had been the quickest TD/TS car both days — qualifying in the pole position — twice.
The TS/TD Combo winners at Luskville’s JSCCS season finale weekend were Roch Beaudoin and Pam Rennie.
Motorcycle ET racing saw two of Eastern Canada’s most dominate racers — trade wins. Trevor Rock — who had already earned his slot for representing Eastern Canada within NHRA’s Summit Racing ET Finals out at Las Vegas later this autumn — defeated Mike Konopacki on Saturday. But on Sunday, it was Konopacki taking the title and some revenge, when he defeated Rock in the championship round.

Junior Dragster class racing featured a win for Miguel Nadeau (Hanmar ON) who defeated Mason Burley in the title round. The final round placing by “Maverick Mason” did however lock up the overall 2026 JSCCS championship points title for the youngest “Fletch Racing” team member.

“As always some great work by track owners Frank and Fred Angers,” said NHRA Canadian Representative Glenn Grow. “It was a well run race with Derek Malcolm providing excellent track prep.”
