Despite some less then ideal conditions – Canada’s drag racers amazed during last weekend’s IHRA Mopar Rocky Mountain Nationals….

Tim Boychuk made his first hometown appearance racing his all new Happy Hour/Nitro Moose Camaro. Tim ran a near career best 5.623 secs to qualify 2nd.

Southern Alberta’s Gary Urlacher qualified #1 in Pro Mod with a 6.003 secs in his nitrous-injected Corvette.

Kudos to Calgary’s DarkSide Racing Top Fuel team who had to overcome a lot while racing at the event.

There is no denying it – the real stars of the event was the 15,000+ fans who fully supported the 2016 Mopar Rocky Mountain Nats!!

Edmonton Stock class “hitter” Ed Matiejewski went to the final round both days — winning on Sunday with his Nova.

Jason and Rick Duchene debuted their cool new 2-car “Trial N’ Error” AA/FA team (including Ken Webster) ==DragRaceCanada will have a feature on all that a little later this season!

Regina-based Vogt Brothers entered their nitrous-injected Pro Mod Corvette in the WDRL sanctioned event.

Canada’s newest Nostalgia Nitro Funny Car racer – Jason Bussy qualified his “Unleashed” Firebird #8 with a 6.023 secs effort.

One of Canada’s absolute tuning legends – Ken Murray (from Winnipeg) was on hand tuning for Doug Doucette’s injected nitro car.

Geoff Goodwin’s Red Deer-based TAFC ran some impressive numbers with driver Greg Hunter at the wheel.

DragRaceCanada was very appreciative (again!) to Castrol Raceway for providing us with this exclusive vantage point for our event photography!
