Canadian drag racers certainly did lead the charge at NHRA New England last weekend….scoring four pole positions!

Wily veteran Stock eliminator racer Fred Thibeault was the #1 qualifier in Stock eliminator during the NHRA New England Nationals. Fred rolled his awesome B/SA ’69 Camaro (based from Middleton NS) to that pole with a 10.225 secs — which is 1.025 under the NHRA national index.

Al Kenny (from Kingston ON) was the quickest car in Top Dragster class racing – qualifying #1/31 cars with a swift 6.249 secs. “AK” won two rounds of completion with the Jegs-sponsored and Dan Page built dragster at New England before a red light foul to event winner Kenneth Moses.

Acton Ontario’s Tiina Duncanson – Canada’s most dominating Pro Stock Snowmobile rider — qualified #1 for that demonstration eliminator — hitting 8.551 secs on board her 2010 Ski Doo. “That Girl”- who has three career wins at the New England Nationals (including last year) went to the final again – but lost out this time to John Parenteau.

Driving what really is arguably Canada’s coolest TS car – Cedric Beaulieu (from Lac Etchemin PQ) was the #1 qualifier overall with his wicked turbocharged Dodge Lebaron. Cedric stopped the timers with a 6.149 secs ET at 239.31 mph – low ET and top speed for the class.  We think that might have been a career quick run?  Cedric?
