Grand Bend Motorplex’s “annual event calling” for within Southern Ontario — once again does not disappoint…..

Another great crowd was on hand for the 2022 IHRA Canadian Nationals. Both sides of the track had only limited seating available!

Local star racer Spencer Hyde (Stratford ON) celebrates on the return road after winning a coveted “Ironman” for Pro Mod class racing.   Spencer was racing this special edition “Jack & The Green Stock” Camaro.

Local Nitro Harley racers Rob Brown & Woody Gregory roar down the track during the IHRA Canadian Nationals event.

The event’s “attaboy” award goes to Mike Everitt who has been working the bugs out of his beautiful Pro Mod Nova and made some great laps over the weekend!

Northern Ontario’s Gary Basaraba got it done — winning the IHRA Ironman for Top Dragster.

Todd Paton & Cameron Ferre thrilled the crowds while piloting the potent Top Fuel entries from Paton Racing.

Tyler Scott made some nice laps piloting the Larry Dobbs owned Camaro Alcohol Funny Car

Randy Caddell brought in his Mississauga-based Nitro Nostaliga Nova Funny Car which was piloted by skilled driver Paul Noakes at the event.

Neale Armstrong (top) & Russ Lethbridge (below) piloted their very popular jet cars down the ¼ mile numerous times to the fans delight!

TAD class track record holder Dan Mercier had both his injected nitro dragster and his Camaro Nostalgia Funny Car on had for exhibition runs.

Perry Carey & J.C Goodacre put on another match race with their front engine dragsters – in front of near capacity crowd.

The event’s Satruday evening show included this “big league boomer” from Aiden Heatley Smith in the Ant Hill Mob Top Fuel dragster  — during a test attempt.  It left the crowd buzzing and the photographer wondering (!?)
