2019 Round #3 for the NMCA’s VP Racing Fuels Xtreme Pro Mod class produces a first time champion…
Driving one of drag racing’s most unique race cars — Maryland’s John Stanley — has emerged victorious for the first time within NMCA circuit racing.
Racing his “Stanley & Weiss” supercharged 2014 model Cadillac CTS-V, Stanley took top class honours during the NMCA’s Inaugural Memphis Homecoming event held in Tennessee last weekend.
After qualifying #6 for that 1/8 mile feature Stanley advanced to the final round to face off against points leader Don Walsh Jr. in the final round. But when Walsh, who was the low qualifier for the event (at 3.700 secs) drifted towards the centreline — Stanley was able to score a 3.792 secs 197.28 mph to 3.817 secs 207.88 mph win.
