Quebec’s Daniel Mercier had a strong effort in TAD at Reading – he qualified #4 with a 5.357 secs and won round one over fellow Canadian Ken Perry

 

Nova Scotia’s Kelly Mackay just missed the event title in Stock eliminator. MacKay’s ’72 Demon fell in the final round to another Mopar racer – Craig Marshall

 

A big shout out for sure to Ike Maier and John Laporte who earned their first ever round win together. Ike qualified #16 and then upset pole sitter David Grubnic in round #1.

 

Belleville Ontario’s Stephan Boardman had his very cool “Red Hot Racing” Chevy II entered in Super Gas.

 

Todd Lesenko ran his best career numbers in qualifying taking the Jim Dunn Racing Dodge to a 4.125 secs at 299 mph.

 

Another impressive Canadian Super Gas car entered at Maple Grove was driven by Ian St. Pierre from Smith Falls Ontario

 

Paul Noakes had his finest outing yet in NHRA TAFC competition — going to the class final and running a career best ET and MPH.

 

Nova Scotia’s Allyn Armstrong went to the semi-final round driving his L/A Opel

 

Jeff and Gary Veale made a rather rare NHRA national event appearence at Reading. They carded a very nice 5.598 secs at 263 mph — which just missed the TAD cut.

 

Famous Maritimes-based racer Fred Thibeault was ented in Stock eliminator with his high flying B/SA ’69 Camaro from Nova Scotia

 

Spiro Kontos’s KonRodz Racing team rounded out their 2012 racing season at Maple Grove. They were upset in round one.

 

Jeff Arend hit some big numbers during fuel FC qualifying — his 4.057 secs run included a career fast speed of 318.09 mph.

 

Larry Dobbs and the Kardiac Kids were in action at Maple Grove. Dobbs qualified the car 12th but then had a centerline violation in round one.
