A brand new era for the future of major league drag racing in Australia has burst out of the gate….

The fabulous new “Dragway At The Bend” located north of Adelaide SA (Tailem Bend) made history last weekend while hosting the debut event for the newly formed NDRC (National Drag Racing Championships) series.  The extremely well attended inaugural event (NDRC Springnationals) drew close to 35,000 fans who witnessed some amazing on-track performances during round #1 for the announced 11-event NDRC calendar season tour.

Top Fuel racing was a “hot topic” for sure at the NDRC opener with numerous clockings in the 3-secs zone at 500+ KPH!!

Pro Slammer class racing did include the driver debut for Ronnie Palumbo being the wheel of the Fabietti Racing machine – which opened up that team’s season long tribute to Sam Fenech who was lost to us all last January.

A sold out capacity crowd came out in support of big league drag racing returning to South Australia.
