Napierville Dragway’s Pro Modified class scene will have a new spearhead beginning this season….
Napierville Dragway’s own Nick Brunet — along with a group of racers — are taking over Quebec’s Fast Doorslammers Drag Racing.
The new PRO MOD FuelTech series (presented by RM Racing Lubricants) will host four times at Napierville this season. The new group will replace the incumbent – the UDRA (United Drag Racing Association) which had organized PM class competition at the facility since 2015. UDRA founder, Nick Landry, has optioned out for this season citing some disagreement with COVID protocol for scheduling events. It is unknown if the UDRA will return in 2022.
The first round will take place as part of the PCRichard NHRA Northeast National Open on July 10-11.
The Pro Mod FuelTech (presented by RM Racing Lubricants) series — which uniquely boasts and features a localized and roque mix of entries — will be back August 14 and 15 and again September 4 and 5. The series season finale will take place on September 25-26.
“Every big name in Quebec has already confirmed their presence,” said Jerome Beaulieu, from DragRaceQuebec.com. “From Cedric Beaulieu with his twin-turbo Lebaron to the PDRA caliber team EDM Motorsports and Denis Lachance — there are many chances that we’ll see a full 3-secs – 8-car fields this summer!”
The circuit will feature the fastest Pro Mod cars from all of Eastern Canada — and with many of the most prominent machines based from Ontario eyeing this season schedule.
For the initial event July 10-11 — qualifying will take place at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday and eliminations on Sunday at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
The presentation of this series is made possible by the sponsors: FuelTech USA, Pro1 Safety Canada, Atelier Mécanique Roberge, Beaulieu Performance, Transport B Leblanc, Peak Transport, Brossard Performance, Remorques Montréal, Auto Têtes de Québec, Construction EDM, VP Racing Fuels , DL Performance and Propulsion Motorsports.
