Sisters in Speed

Following a successful 2010 season where she was the Ontario Street Car Association 9.90 Index class Champion as well as the Canadian Street Car Nationals 9.90 event winner, Sue Cooper of Sombra, Ontario has a new project…
Sue decided it was time to start a website she had been thinking about for awhile .  Currently working on a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Windsor, Sue has a double major in Chemistry and Biology.  After studying Genetics and Molecular Biology she thought a computer course would do her some good.  One of the projects was to build a website from scratch with no programs allowed and having to write all of the HTML code herself.  That is how “Sisters in Speed” was born.

Starting out with some of her female OSCA friends on the site, word has spread and the site is gaining interest from racers across the area as well racers extending into the US.  Well known local Super Stock racer Victoria Smith is a “Sister” along with US based Pro Mod racer Dina Parise as well as Pro Stock sled competitor Tiina Duncanson and many others.
The site has had alot of interest in the short time it has been online and continues to grow with each passing day.  Sue looks forward to adding more of her Sisters to the website in hopes of promoting the women of drag racing and giving them the opportunity to tell their interesting stories about the sport they love.
