TNT Super Series Double Header This Weekend At Cayuga Dragway’s Victoria Day Challenge

First double race of 2011 is powered by Bieda’s…..

It’ll be Cayuga Dragway at Toronto Motorsports Park this weekend for the next stop in the 2011 Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series.  Presented by Bieda’s Powersports, the event promises the best in 10.90 sportsman drag racing action in southern Ontario.

On Saturday night of last year’s Victoria Day weekend event, it was Oakland Ontario’s Dave Surmatchewski taking his 1983 Cutlass to the winner’s circle over fellow Canadian Chris VanBaalen.

Even though this weekend will be events 2 and 3 on the schedule, it will effectively kick off the 2011 Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series points chase.  “We got rained out two weeks ago at Dunn Tire Raceway Park so this will be the first time the TNTSS gets into eliminations in 2011,” said Ted Barnes, TNTSS Director.

Along with the TNTSS will be the Can-Am Stock/Super Stock Series, the PMRA Pro Mods, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series and the new Pro Bike & Sled Series.  Check out www.torontomotorsportspark.com for complete weekend details.

Gates open early Friday for weekend camping with TNTSS qualifying set for 10am Saturday morning.  Visit www.tntsuperseries.com for complete TNTSS rules and payout information.

About the Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series (TNTSS):

Since it began in 2006, the TNT Super Series has grown into one of the strongest, most competitive sportsman drag racing series in North America and has catapulted many competitors to success on the national and divisional stage.

The TNTSS is a self-governing organization with input from its teams.  Based on NHRA’s Super Street & IHRA’s Hot Rod classes, competitors run on a 10.90 index in the 1/4 mile (7.00 in the 1/8 mile) and race for a guaranteed purse that pays back more than 100% of the racer’s entry fees.  The yearend Series Champion receives a prize package worth over $3500.00.

The TNTSS is committed to providing the highest level of competition backed by solid media support to showcase its participants across North America.  Events are contested at various drag racing facilities in southern Ontario and western New York and put on a spectacular show for the drag racing fan.
