VP Racing Fuels to Power ADRL in 2012

Fuel Available at VP Tracks and Through Extensive Dealer Network….

The American Drag Racing League (ADRL) today announced VP Racing Fuels has signed on as ADRL’s Official Racing Fuel, marking the fifth consecutive year of VP’s support for the series. As part of the sponsorship, VP will continue to post contingency awards for all classes, with VP’s C23 and Q16 designated as Spec Fuels for the Extreme Pro Stock class.

“We are very happy to continue in our role as Official Fuel of the ADRL,” said Steve Scheidker, VP’s Director of Marketing. “It’s a perfect match, as ADRL racers’ efforts to push the edge of the technology envelope are enabled in great part by VP fuels, which are among the most technologically advanced fuels on the planet.”

“I’m pleased to continue our partnership with VP Racing Fuels, a race fuel manufacturer that commands unparalleled respect in the industry,” said ADRL Executive Vice President Jeff Fortune. “VP has been a steadfast supporter of drag racing in all forms and we appreciate how they’ve contributed to ADRL’s growth over the years. We’re also cognizant of the important role played by VP’s tech support staff in guiding ADRL competitors in fuel selection, tuning and optimizing their performance.”

Because the agreement does not include trackside fuel service, racers will be responsible for procuring their own fuel in advance of each ADRL event. The ADRL schedule includes at least six tracks at which VP is available on site, while for other events VP fuels are readily available via its extensive distribution network across the U.S. and Canada.

For the first event, track officials at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas expect to have available VP110, C12, C16, Q16 and C23 racing fuels, as well as M1 and M5 Methanol. Any other fuels desired by racers, including VP Import, must be obtained in advance from the most convenient VP dealer and brought to the track. Racers who want to procure fuel at the track should call 281-383-7223 in advance to reserve it.

To locate the most convenient VP dealer, racers may contact the appropriate VP regional office, each of which is listed on VP’s website at vpracingfuels.com/vp-racing-dealers.html or by calling 210.635.7744. Technical questions can be directed to 812-878-2025 or dragtech@vpracingfuels.com.

In addition to racing fuels, VP’s product line includes ethanol-free C9 storage fuel; SEF Small Engine Fuel, an ethanol-free fuel formulated specifically for 2-cycle and 4-cycle portable gas-powered equipment; PowerMaster hobby fuels for R/C racing; and fuel handling accessories. More information about VP’s products is available online at VPRacingFuels.com, SEFfuels.com and PowerMasterFuels.com.
