Race City in Ruin 

This is certainly a very sad photo and one we hoped we would never see.   This is the present state of Calgary’s much beloved Race City which is apparently now doomed for extinction — a consequence of a long time local city political quagmire.   Speculation is the once proud property will now sit unused for a long time before being plowed under for some other yet to be determined City development.   

How about some “trickle down” from the rich Alberta oil industry – anyone?  BB
